Calendly
Calendly brings people together as a meeting lifecycle platform to coordinate, connect and nurture relationships through 1-click meetings.
Calendly was founded in 2013 by Tope Awotona who turned his vision of simple scheduling for everyone into a growing platform that manages scheduling for more than 10 million individuals and businesses. The hub for scheduling meetings eliminates the hassle of back-and-forth emails; you can set your availability preferences to Calendly and share your link with others, who can then pick a time. Once set, the event will be added to your calendar. This approach will show your schedule with only the days and times that work for you, and once a meeting slot is chosen, it can be automatically confirmed.
Some advantages to using Calendly include preventing scheduling conflicts, the ability to automate reminders and follow-ups, and reducing cancellations. It can also integrate across various other programs you are likely already using, including Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom among many other options.
Calendly offers different tiers of pricing depending on your needs, as both an individual or as a business. To learn more about Calendly and simplified scheduling, visit here.
Windows 11
Microsoft released Windows 11 earlier in October, saying the new OS, with various changes to core apps and services, was “built for gamers”.
Released on October 5, Windows 11 includes a brand new look for the desktop, a major UI redesign, and changes to the core OS apps and services that PC gaming has come to rely upon. This release date means Windows 11 is beginning to roll out; mainly for new machines, with updates for existing Windows 10 users following after. If you haven’t been offered the switch yet, you may avoid any bugs or problems to be sorted out by the time you are eligible for the upgrade. Plus, Windows 10 will still receive updates through 2025.
The user interface (UI) is moving to an overall softer and more-rounded theme. The start button has moved, the taskbar has shifted to the middle of the screen, and widgets are making a comeback. You can also select how you want to arrange your windows. Windows 11 will feature a new version of the Microsoft Store including a new interface and a broader selection of apps. It aims to be faster, easier to use, and showcase a better-curated digital storefront than currently.

Protecting Your Digital Footprint
A digital footprint is an accumulation of all your activities online, from social media posts to checking the weather or making a purchase and more. These actions leave a digital trail which can include your IP address and personal details of your life shared online. This data can be tracked by various organizations, like marketers or law enforcement agencies, to learn about your habits and create a customized profile about you.
Your digital footprint can be beneficial if created to show a positive version of yourself online, like potential future employers. But, it can also lead to various negatives, like decreased privacy and identity theft.
You can safeguard your digital footprint by taking the following measures:
- Search for yourself – See what type of information is readily available about you
- Set alerts – Keep track of your online mentions in the future
- Use tighter privacy settings – Manage and use more restrictive privacy settings
- Be cautious with social media – Be judicious about what you choose to reveal about yourself
- Restrict mobile app permissions – Granting mobile app access to other information makes your data available to the app owner
- Limit your online accounts – Delete or deactivate accounts you no longer need
- Use a password manager – Securely create, encrypt, and store unique, complex passwords
- Think before linking accounts – Linked accounts will grant other organizations more information about your online activities
