Apple’s Unleashed event was full of news, including several big announcements.
Two MacBook Pros were revealed available in 14-inch and 16-inch models. The new design has replaced the Touch Bar with a full-size function row, and has brought back various ports including an HDMI port, Thunderbolt ports, an SD card slot, a headphone jack, and a MagSafe charger. The notch design has also been brought over from the iPhone and houses an improved 1080p FaceTime camera. Two custom chips were announced named the M1 Pro and the M1 Max with 33 billion transistors and 57 billion transistors, respectively. The Pros will also include ProMotion, Apple’s adaptive refresh rate technology, and be lit with Mini LED technology.
Some other noteworthy announcements include the launch of the next generation of AirPods; they are sweat- and water-resistant and support spatial audio. New colors – yellow, orange, and blue – are coming to the HomePod Mini smart speaker. Lastly, Apple has introduced a $4.99 per month Apple Music Voice Plan which allows you access to Apple Music with Siri.
