The Cam Scanner App, a mobile scanner for easy sharing, is free to download for Android or iPhone as well as iPad and Windows Phone 8. While there are two additional tiered levels with monthly pricing where you can receive additional features, we downloaded the free version to test it out and review. When I first opened the app, it seemed intuitive to navigate; there were also helpful pop-up tips to introduce you to features and buttons and how to use them.
You can begin by pressing the camera icon at the bottom of the screen where you can choose your type of scan. This can be anything from a single piece of paper you are taking a photo of, to an ID card, a QR code, or even a batch of scans, among a few other options. Once you take the picture, you can edit it by cropping it, rotating it, or changing the filter to enhance the image quality. The image will then be saved, allowing you to import it, share it, email it, or perform other actions on it such as commenting, faxing, or adding to an album. Within the app, you can view all of your documents and create folders to organize them. You can also see what docs have been shared with others. You can easily search for any document, or sort by name, create date, or updated date.
As a first time user of the app, I found it easy to use and see how it can be a helpful tool for sending, sharing, and saving documents. To learn more about the app, visit here.
