Tip of the Month
Since many of us are accustomed to computers with fast speeds and instant loading times, it can be frustrating when your machine slows down, taking longer than usual to perform a task. Though there can be many reasons for a slow down, our tip of the month can help restore your speed and your sanity.
A simple computer reboot can help bring your computer back up to speed. After running multiple programs at once, your computer will need to flush out the ram, which a reboot will help to do. A reboot will also prevent memory leaks, which can sometimes occur without you even knowing. Another way a reboot helps is by fixing small errors, like glitches with windows and programs you often use and may experience errors throughout your use. Lastly, it will install any outstanding updates; keeping Windows up to date as well as other programs like Sophos and Symantec is important in helping your computer run on current versions of programs, and keeping those programs moving smoothly and at an acceptable speed to continue your work.
