iPad as a Monitor
With Sidecar, you can now use your iPad as a display that extends or mirrors your Mac desktop. Once you have confirmed your Mac and iPad meet the Sidecar system requirements, are signed in, and charging, you can begin to show your Mac on your iPad.
There are a few steps to take that slightly vary depending on your operating system. You will be able to locate your iPad and choose to mirror your Mac desktop. You can use the sidebar on your iPad where commonly used Mac controls will be featured, including Command, Option, Control, undoing the last action, hiding or showing the onscreen keyboard, and disconnecting your iPad among other options. Multi-Touch gestures, like scrolling, copying and pasting, and others, are available. You will also be able to use Apple Pencil, the Touch Bar, and iPad apps.
