Trying to sleep but your phone keeps buzzing? Or maybe you’re trying to focus at work, but incoming messages continue to interrupt you? If you’re ever part of a group text, or any text in general that is bothersome in any way, this tip is for you. On an iPhone, in your messages, you can swipe left on any text message which will give you two options: hide alerts, or delete. If you choose to hide alerts your texts will still come in, but will not make any sound or buzz to alert you. You can carry on with whatever you are doing, and check your messages when it is more convenient for you. If you want to take it one step further to hide all alerts, not just a specific text message, you can do so within your settings. In settings, you can choose the do not disturb option, and turn it on. This will silence calls and alerts; you can still view anything that was silenced when you have the time to, and you can turn the do not disturb mode off whenever you feel like it.
