Employee Cyber Risk
Everything from endpoints, to passwords, to training, to security policies and a lack of awareness are all contributing to a higher risk of cyberattack.
Employee cyber risk is a multifaceted issue that can revolve a lot around cyber hygiene. Some of the most important issues include passwords, device use, and a lack of proper training. According to new data in Mobile Mentor’s inaugural Endpoint Ecosystem Report, employees have terrible password hygiene. Many choose passwords that are easy to remember, write them down in a journal, or store them in a Notes app on their phone. Since many employees are using their personal devices for work, this can be a massive risk to take. In addition to poor password maintenance, in-office workers are not always receiving regular security training either.

Office 365 Calendar App
The Calendar App in Office 365 allows for customization with convenient tools, the ability to color code events, and an option to overlay Exchange Calendars.
The Calendar App in Office 365 offers various features to organize and share your events in Day, Week, Month, Year, and Task days or hours views. The app allows you the ability to overlay SharePoint calendars with Exchange Online calendars in order to display all relevant events on a single calendar view. If events from several data sources are combined, you can customize colors for each data source and event category to make the calendar view visible and easy to distinguish events between sources and categories. Microsoft Planner can also be enabled as a data source, along with the option to add a Virto Calendar to your Teams channel as a separate tab with the same functionalities. There are text filters and a custom form tool for event creation to find data and manage projects more easily. You can also choose to display events in a compact view by creating a mini calendar.

Landmark Legislation
The European Union recently reached a deal on landmark legislation that would force Facebook, YouTube, and other internet services to combat misinformation, disclose how services amplify divisive content, and stop targeting ads based on ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation.
The law, called the Digital Services Act, is intended to address the societal harms of social media by requiring companies to more aggressively monitor their platforms for illicit content or face more aggressive fines. The law aims to end an era of self-regulation, where companies have created their own policies around what content can stay and what must be taken down. The Digital Services Act is the second part of the Digital Markets Act, previously put in place. The Digital Markets Act counters what regulators see as anticompetitive behavior. Together, the new laws are an example of how Europe is setting the standard for tech regulation globally.
