Teams Features
Earlier this month, Microsoft 365 released several Message center announcements, including various new Teams features and updates to look out for.
Meeting recaps are now available in the calendar event details tab. The recap will help meeting attendees as well as those who are unable to attend with a meeting recording, transcript, and chat all in one place. They are automatically shared and viewable within the Chat and Details tabs, respectively. There is also a new meeting lobby setting, meant to give meeting organizers greater control over their meetings, by enabling the lobby where only Calendar meeting invited users can join directly. A few other new features to be excited about include: a new Meet Now button to start a Teams meeting from your Outlook desktop client, native notifications for Windows 10, and Touch Bar Meetings Controls added for Mac users.

Security Updates
After multiple vulnerabilities were uncovered in iPhones and iPads, Apple quickly released a security update to fix the issues and keep your devices safe.
Though keeping our gadgets up to date is a seemingly never-ending task, it is important to stay protected against vulnerabilities that are potentially being actively exploited, like the recent ones discovered in the software powering iPhones and iPads. The vulnerabilities had two distinct effects: the first may have allowed a “malicious application” to “elevate privileges”, and the second might have allowed a hacker to “cause arbitrary code execution” from afar. Either way, these security holes left room for bad outcomes if compromised.

KB4-CON 2021
New year, new virtual events to attend. The KnowBe4 virtual summit, taking place April 19-20, 2021, is now open for registration. The experience will be interactive, including a keynote delivered by author and former White House CIO Theresa Payton. Theresa will unveil tales about cybercriminals using deepfake technology and fake personas to make you doubt industries, companies, or even social issues.
